Ashley Blaine brings years of financial industry experience and a passion for client service to her role at Wagener-Lee. With a background at Charles Schwab and a finance degree from the University of Arizona, she combines technical expertise with a personal touch—ensuring clients feel supported through every step of their financial journey.
I’ve spent years in the financial industry, and if there’s one thing I know, it’s that great service starts with strong relationships. In my last role, I worked with clients for years, getting to know them, their families, and their life milestones. When they called, I didn’t need to pull up a file—I already knew what was going on. That’s the kind of personal connection I aim to bring to every client at Wagener-Lee.
I grew up in Maryland but left for college at the University of Arizona, where I earned my degree in finance. After graduation, I jumped straight into the industry, joining Charles Schwab’s broker training program. Over the years, I worked in different offices across Seattle, California, and Arizona. Then life took a turn—I moved to London, spent two and a half years traveling around Europe, and took a break from my career.
When I moved back to Maryland, I knew I wanted to get back into finance. Wagener-Lee caught my attention right away—their team-first, client-focused approach felt like the perfect fit.
At Wagener-Lee, I’m stepping into a role that’s been held for 25 years, which means I have big shoes to fill. But I love getting to know clients and helping them navigate whatever financial needs come their way. Right now, I’m working on renewing my Series 7 license, which will allow me to assist with trades. In the meantime, I’m learning from Karen, who has spent decades building deep relationships with clients. Whether I’m supporting our advisors or assisting clients directly, I bring knowledge, positivity, and a personal touch to every interaction.
Helping people has always been important to me. My mom is a nurse, and she instilled in me a deep sense of empathy and service. At one point, I even considered going into healthcare. But finance was also in my blood—my grandfather was an accountant in New York City. In the end, I found my own way to support people: by helping them make sense of their financial lives.
I love to travel—and I love planning trips almost as much as taking them. After spending two and a half years exploring Europe, I became the go-to person for travel planning. If you ever need an itinerary, I’ve got you covered!
