EVERY CLOUD HAS A SILVER LINING

I’m new to financial planning but eager to learn all I can so that I can have a positive impact on people’s lives, like my colleagues here at Wagener Lee. I’m a recent graduate of Salisbury University where I earned a degree in Investment Finance.

You probably would not have guessed that I initially had dreams of being a meteorologist though. I wasn’t looking to replace Al Roker or Jim Cantore. I wanted to work for NOAA and study cloud physics.

My head wasn’t in the clouds for long though. While taking a business course in college, I discovered how much I loved finance, and that I really had a knack for it.

MONEY MAKER 

My values about money were shaped at an early age, when I came to a crossroads that many kids face. I had my heart set on buying the latest game, and my dad said, “If you want it, you have to earn it.”

I went to work, doing the dishes, mowing the lawn – whatever household chores a kid my age could handle. The experience taught me a lot about the value of working hard for what you earn. And I’ve never lost that work ethic.

TRAVELIN’ MAN 

I went to Asia a few years ago – visiting China, Indonesia, and Singapore. It opened my eyes to how big the world really is and how different people are. The food and modes of transportation, the people, and the experiences are completely different than what we’re used to here in the US.

My passion for travel continues, and I’m hoping to visit Belgium and Rome on my next international adventures.

FUN FACT

I’m a big fan of puzzles and taught myself how to solve a Rubik’s cube when I was in high school. I was fascinated by it for a couple months and studied it day and night, until I figured it out. Now I can solve a Rubik’s Cube in under two minutes.

CALLUM 101

Callum was born in Canada but moved to the US at a young age. His family lived in Brooklyn, New York for a short time before settling in Maryland. In his free time, Callum enjoys being outdoors, hiking and spending time with his girlfriend.
