This commitment to employee and investor education helps dozens of small businesses, corporations, nonprofits, unions and other organizations and has played an integral part in our own firm’s history and evolution.
Early in the 1980s, Rick Wagener and the firm created the first employee financial and retirement seminars for the Westinghouse Corporation. During the following five years, Rick Wagener led dozens of in-depth, three-day group seminars. Employees were taught classes on investing, taxes, estate planning and their company retirement benefits.
In the 1990’s, Rick Wagener joined the faculty of the Community College of Baltimore as an adjunct professor and assisted in creating the Center for Retirement Education™. The center was designed to provide retirement education to employees of major corporations in the Baltimore-Washington area. Rick Wagener was the lead faculty who taught classes on-site at company locations. In 1996, he was recognized as Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year.
